Delete your account
Grimzoo lets you leave whenever you want — with everything you've written.
This is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. From the app
Open Grimzoo on your phone, go to Settings, then tap “Delete my account” at the very bottom of the screen. You confirm twice: “Continue”, then “Yes, delete everything”. Deletion starts immediately.
2. From the website, without your phone
Sign in on grimzoo.com (a 6-digit code reaches you by email, no password is asked for), go to Settings, then “Delete my account”. Type SUPPRIMER in the confirmation field and confirm the final alert.
3. By email, if you have access to nothing
No longer have the phone AND no longer have access to your account? Write to [email protected] from your account's email address, with “Deletion of my account” as the subject. We process the request and confirm by return.
If a message tells you the deletion failed
Then nothing has been deleted, and your account is intact. We prefer to stop everything rather than erase your account while leaving files behind. Try again in a moment: the deletion picks up where it left off, without damaging anything.
4. What is deleted
Everything, without exception: your profile (first name or nickname, year of birth, “Who I am” introduction); all of your memories, their text, their titles, their tags, their feelings and their dates; all of your photos, your video clips and your audio attachments, thumbnails included; all of your conversations with your clone; the search indexes built from your memories; the sharing links you created, which stop working immediately; and your devices' notification tokens.
5. What is kept, and for how long
The deletion of your account and your files is immediate. Our encrypted backups, hosted in the European Union, are purged on rotation: at the latest 30 days after your request, nothing remains. No data is kept for commercial, advertising or statistical purposes.
6. It's final
Deletion is irreversible. There is no recycle bin, no cooling-off period, and we cannot restore anything once the request has been processed. If you want to keep a copy of your grimoire, export it from the website before deleting your account.
